Vaagdhara has continuously been fighting for the rights of tribal people in Southern Rajasthan ever since. On the occasion of Independence Day, the Vaagdhara team reconnected with more than 425 Village Panchayat Gram Sabhas to discuss and find solutions on issues of their daily lives.

The main focus of the meeting was development works related to their future generation and sustainable development activities to be undertaken during the current financial year. Aligning with the theme of 15th August our day of freedom, the team pondered on ways to help the tribal community get freedom from malnutrition, migration and child abuse.

Suggestion for infrastructural improvements, and related services like ICDS, PDS, and PHC were invited from the community and shared with available block and district government officials. The whole event concluded successfully with enthusiastic and active participation and cooperation from the community. Their active involvement in the Graham Sabhas shows that the community is now driving for CHANGE.

Vaagdhara works intensively to address the livelihood challenges of marginalized people in tribal region and to bring positive change in their lives with sustainable development. Freedom is supposed to be everyones birth right, and the NGO in tribal area is helping the tribal community of South Rajasthan in achieving real freedom and making the world a better place to live in with all their rights.
